Great enjoyable series for young readers
8yr old girl couldn’t put these book down! The book gobbler that she is, these books were such a hit with her!! She finished them in a matter of a month! Even though he would not get much time in the day to read, she would pick it up whenever possible. Now the problem is she compares every new book to this collection and wants it up to this standard!!

My daughter is 10 years old and received these array of stories and on book #2 in such a short time and the stories are so outstanding that she hasn’t had a single day one of books aren’t with her
The first book was great - the others, not so much.
The first book was utterly amazing, and the second book was also great, but things started to go downhill after that. Sure, there were a few interesting parts in the third, fourth, and sixth books, but I didn't like them as much as the first two. The fifth was like the first and second - it was very interesting.
Wonderful storylines, but promotes very liberal ideas.
I began reading these books with my daughter because the storylines sounded like a fun twist on the classic fairy tales. The first book was fantastic. We were excited to begin reading the second. We became engrossed in the characters and wanted to know what would happen next. We have continued to read all six books to find what happened to the characters, but I began to see the typical liberal ideas being pushed into these children's books. By the final book, the author had included gay and lesbian characters, along with questionable language. I realize that the author himself identifies with this group, but not all families do. I wish that children's authors would keep their personal gender, political, and any other ideology out of children's books. Childhood is short enough and children should be spared this type of rhetoric for as long as possible. We should give them a chance to form some of their own opinions on life before we start trying to push our agendas on them. By the end, I was highly disappointed in the series. What could have been a set of books that I would have gladly bought for all of my nieces and friends' children, I will now throw away.
enthralling
My 11 year old got this set for his birthday and ready the entire series in two weeks- he could not put the books down. Other books he has loved: spy school series, HP, His Dark Materials, Gregor the Overlander, and Hunger Games.

My son enjoyed reading these so much. Every day he would recap all he read to me. A great spin on the classic tales.
Reading time with grand babies
Got the series as my g-baby & I have reading time via FaceTime each night. We take turns being either the Narrator or characters. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Priceless
Extremely thought provoking and inspiring!
Read to 5 and 8 year old girl! Had great difficulty telling them it could not be read at one sitting. Each book was read over two days! Had to rephrase at times and insert different vocabulary! Intriguing reading!
Great first read
My 7 year old found the first book in the school library. She really like it so we bought the complete set. Good books
