Got this by request for my 6 year old daughter for her birthday. I actually found the cage for it at our local thrift store for a buck so getting just the bird was a no-brainer. It doesn't come with batteries so be sure to grab 2 AAA batteries and a small Phillip's screwdriver to get this toy working. You can push a button on the bird and talk into it and it will play back what you said in a cute bird voice. If you blow into it or try to whistle the bird will whistle also. When it talks the wings light up with a green color (we have the pink bird). Overall it is a good toy, not overly large or annoying and she was super excited to get a toy she had suggested.

It’s well made and enjoyed by everyone. The ones that come with the “key” - know that the key is easily lost and the tip is easily broken. You can use anything narrow to push on the bird to still make it work without the key so it isn’t that much of a worry... the key is a choking hazard for little ones.
