Thịt heo bằm cho vào tô nêm cùng 1/2 muỗng cà phê tiêu, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1/2 hành lá cắt nhỏ theo khẩu vị gia đình, trộn đều.
Bầu gọt bỏ vỏ, cắt khoanh tròn và lấy bỏ ruột. Nhồi thịt heo bằm đã ướp vào từng khoanh bầu.
Bắc chảo lên bếp, thêm 1 muỗng canh dầu ăn, cho bầu nhồi thịt vào chiên đều. Thêm 1 chén nước hoà cùng 1/2 muỗng canh đường trắng, 3 muỗng canh nước mắm, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm vào, rim trên lửa nhỏ.
Sau khi nước hơi cạn, nêm nếm lại gia vị cho vừa ăn và rắc hành lá cắt nhỏ. Tắt bếp, cho ra đĩa dùng cùng cơm nóng.
